Is Cardiac Rehab Right For You?
Cardiac rehabilitation programs are used to enhance the recovery and overall health of patients suffering from a variety of conditions. Those conditions may include:
- Patients diagnosed with coronary artery disease
- Patients who have had a recent heart attack
- Patients with high blood pressure, or hypertension
- Patients with high cholesterol, or dyslipidemia
- Patients with congestive heart failure, a condition in which the heart cannot pump efficiently enough to meet the body’s demand for oxygen
- Patients who have recently undergone balloon angioplasty or open-heart surgery
