Is Cardiac Rehab Right For You?

Cardiac rehabilitation programs are used to enhance the recovery and overall health of patients suffering from a variety of conditions. Those conditions may include:

  • Patients diagnosed with coronary artery disease
  • Patients who have had a recent heart attack
  • Patients with high blood pressure, or hypertension
  • Patients with high cholesterol, or dyslipidemia
  • Patients with congestive heart failure, a condition in which the heart cannot pump efficiently enough to meet the body’s demand for oxygen
  • Patients who have recently undergone balloon angioplasty or open-heart surgery
  • Patients who have had a pacemaker or defibrillator implanted
  • Patients with congenital heart disease, which is a disease or heart defect that is present since birth
