Chest X-Ray

Chest X-rays are used to look at the heart in order to evaluate such conditions as an enlarged heart or fluid in the lungs due to heart failure. A chest X-ray is often a preliminary test that may not provide all the information needed to determine the cause of a problem. If a chest X-ray is abnormal, more specific tests may be required.
