Thyroid Tests

Thyroid function tests are common procedures done to find out how well the thyroid gland is functioning. They include blood tests that measure the amount of thyroid hormone in the blood, such as T3 and T4, thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), and various imaging procedures. These tests are very important because either an overactive or an under-active thyroid can play a significant role in causing heart failure.
